14 Creative Ways to Use Autoreponders to Explode your Profits!

Sunday, July 27th, 2008
Gunjan Tiwari asked:

Autoresponders are remarkable, versatile programs that do so much more than just automatically answer your email.

Here are a few ideas that will help you to creatively and productively use your autoresponder to transform the casual visitor into a profitable customer. Use your autoresponder to:

1. Publish a newsletter. Certain quality autoresponders will manage subscriptions and follow-up with interested prospects.

Your newsletter can keep your visitors informed about your services or products, while building your reputation as a credible expert in your particular business.

2. Publish a newsletter only for your affiliates. Inform them of current sales you are running and of promotional material that your affiliates can use themselves to increase their commissions.

Include tips, advice, and techniques that your affiliates can use to successfully go out and promote your business.

3. Write reviews. Cover books, software, music, e-books, movies, etc., and put each review in an autoresponder. Review your affiliate programs, using a link to your affiliate’s page in your autoresponder.

4. Distribute your articles. Writing and distributing targeted articles is a powerful tool to build your business credibility, bring traffic to your site, and increase your sales potential.

If your articles contain valuable information, many editors will print what is known as a resource box for you. A resource box contains your bio and a brief description of your service or product. It can also contain your autoresponder address.

Let’s say you’ve written fifty articles. Put them on separate autoresponder accounts and create a master list that contains the titles of each article, the autoresponder address, and a brief abstract. Then promote your master list.

Additionally, include your publishing guidelines so your affiliates can add their articles to your list, increasing the number of writers who are represented in your article list.

5. Create mailing lists. Inform subscribers to your articles when you’ve written new ones that they may want to publish in their own newsletter or website.

6. Automate your sales process. Use an ad to insure repeated exposure of your message, which has been proven to effectively increase sales.

In your ad, put your autoresponder address where a visitor will be exposed to numerous marketing materials. This multiplies the chances of converting visitors into customers.

For example, if you’re selling a particular product, put testimonials about how spectacular it is on your autoresponder, and add a detailed, enticing description of your product.

7. Distribute advertising. Let’s say you sell advertising on your website or in your newsletter or e-zine. Set your autoresponder to send the information about rates and how to place an ad automatically to all prospects’ email addresses.

Then have your autoresponder follow-up. It can also send notification of any special deals you are currently offering.

8. Distribute an email course. Each day, have your autoresponder send out another lesson. Just be sure that each lesson has quality content - not a sales pitch.

Your content will do the selling for you, and will do it much more effectively. You can include tips centered on a different topic for each lesson, illustrating how your product will benefit the reader.

Include the tangible benefits the visitor will reap by purchasing your product. Make sure to include a paragraph or two at the end of each lesson enticing your prospect to consider making a purchase.

9. Automate a reminder about your service or product after a visitor has completed your course. This will increase the possibility of sales from visitors who have taken your course but are dragging their feet about actually making a purchase.

You can also use these reminders to promote new products or services, and the products and services of your affiliate programs.

10. Distribute free reports. This gives your visitor an idea of the type of information you can provide and the quality of your product or service. Make sure these reports are not sales letters or you will more than likely lose a potential customer than gain a sale.

11. Create trivia quizzes on your site and place the answers in an autoresponder. Your visitor will then be motivated to request your autoresponder, and you will have a record of the visitors’ email addresses who took your quiz.

Or create a contest and have any visitors that enter send their responses to your autoresponder. Your autoresponder can be set-up to send them a confirmation of their entry.

12. Offer a trial version of your product. Give your prospects a sample of your ebook, course, software, membership, etc.

People who are exposed to a little taste often end up wanting the whole pie. You can also capture their email addresses when you offer them a free trial from your website.

Set up your autoresponder to give instructions on how to obtain their free trial, and then make sure to follow-up to try and close the sale.

13. Link to hidden pages on your autoresponder. For example, a hidden page could be your affiliate page that contains graphics, promotional articles, and text links that interested affiliates can make use of.

Inform visitors that they may have free access to your affiliate page by simply requesting your autoresponder. You will then gather a list of visitors who may be interested in becoming your affiliates.

14. Use an autoresponder on your order page. Post a request form for visitors to be notified of special offers or discounts in the future.

This creates a very effective mailing list that contains the names of people who are already your customers.

Now that you have proof that autoresponders can be used creatively, see if you can come up with some brilliant ideas of your own!

The Seventh Abundance

Friday, July 25th, 2008
Eric Garner asked:

. I’m going to show you that, despite your tight financial circumstances, you are infinitely richer than you think. And that, when you discover just how abundant your life is, your financial situation will dramatically change as well.

We tend to think that abundance, or wealth, or riches, or the flow of all good things, is confined to having money. Well, it isn’t. Here are six other kinds of abundance that are almost certainly available to you right now, without any investment or effort on your part. Once you focus on these areas of abundance, you will find that your AA, or “Abundance Attitude” will automatically trigger a corresponding reaction in the state of your finances and make you abundant financially as well.

1. Creative Abundance. Even if you don’t have a nickel, penny or a yen to your name, you can still have a torrent of great ideas. For the truth of the matter is that, while God did not create money, (it’s purely a human concept), He did create a thought-based Universe. There are no limits to your thoughts. You can have as many as you want. You can make them as grand as you want. Your thoughts literally travel around the Universe and even, say some, through all time. Allow yourself to dream of what you can bring into this world and you’ll realize how abundant you really are. More to the point, all your money-spinning ideas come from your thoughts. It’s a huge, free and endlessly renewable resource. Use it.

2. Choice Abundance. Unless you are reading this from a prison cell, you are a free person, with free will, and free choices about how to live your life. So, if your present circumstances are not what you want, all you have to do is change your choices for something else and you’ll get a different result. Choose another habit, another action, another way of working, another style, another task, another location, another venture. You have an abundance of choices in every moment of your life. Choose wisely.

3. Gifts Abundance. Many people who remain poor in their lives do so because they don’t realize how gifted they really are. They are locked in to a victim mentality where any number of excuses are used to explain why they don’t have what they want. There’s the excuse of “I’m not good enough” or “I’m not wealthy enough” or “I’m not lucky enough” or any other similar phrase. The truth is that God has not singled out anyone to have more gifts than anyone else. We are all uniquely – and abundantly – gifted. Once you find out what your gifts are – through a process of experience, trial and error, feedback from others, and honest self-assessment – then you’ll find yourself in an Aladdin’s cave of treasure that will grant you endless wishes for the rest of your life. You are abundantly talented and you owe it to God who has gifted you these talents to find them and use them.

4. Health Abundance. Even if you find yourself down on your luck financially, there’s no reason why you cannot bask in the glow of abundant health. One of the ironies of modern life is that many people are caught in the trap of working long hours in order to have enough money to buy the antidotes to the stressful and unhealthy lifestyle they lead. They work to excess so that they can buy the holidays they need to recover from their excessive working. The fact is, you were meant to live a healthy and abundant life, full of energy and vitality. It is your birthright. If you seek out how to live the abundantly healthy lifestyle you were meant to live, it may well be the financially wealthy who envy you!

5. Love Abundance. The idea that we are all abundant in love may sound sentimental, but there is no getting away from the fact that, while your capacity to earn has limits – even for the super-wealthy – your capacity to love and be loved is without limits. When you uncork the Love stoppers in your life, you release such a flow of good things for yourself and others, that it’s like champagne all the way. Give and show love to those who are important to you. Love strangers rather than fearing or judging them. Love every creature you share this planet with. Love what you do each day. And most of all love yourself. Don’t be sentimental about it. Love is the most powerful force in the universe. And there are no limits to it if you’ll just let yourself do it.

6. Material Abundance. Our modern age has brainwashed most people into believing that without money they are not materially rich. This is simply a clever marketing ploy aimed at making the perpetrators of the myth money-rich themselves. The truth is that God, who, you remember, didn’t invent money, created you to enjoy the fruits of the earth in abundance whether you have money or not. You simply don’t need a big house, a big yacht, a villa in Spain, a six-figure income, and four holidays a year to enjoy abundance. And the place to look? Well, it’s not in the man-made malls and supermarkets. It’s in nature. Wander through a wood in autumn and see the sheer abundance of food for free. Walk along a beach after a stormy sea to see what has been given you for free. Turn your small garden patch into a summertime larder. Look at the wonders of nature and you’ll never again believe that you must have lots of money to live happily and well.

And now for the key to your financial future. When you focus on these six areas of super-abundance – your endless gift for creativity, your infinite range of life choices, your unique talents, your inalienable right to health, your unlimited capacity to love, and the cornucopia of the natural world – you cannot help but live a wonderfully abundant life. If you really believe that abundance and wealth is already yours, you will create the seventh abundance with astonishing ease. And money will flow into your life as if by magic.

Computer Viruses - a Risk Worth Taking

Friday, July 25th, 2008
Niall Roche asked:

If you’ve never been the victim of a computer virus, you may think that all of the uproar over these nasty little programs is making much ado out of nothing. You may even be thinking that computer security experts and anti-virus companies are using scare tactics to sell anti-virus software. After all, the bigger the problem, the more software people buy. Today, the anti-virus business is worth several billion dollars and it shows no sign of slowing down.

So, with all of this money at risk, you are certainly justified in wondering whether computer viruses really are as big a problem as the industry says they are.

Unfortunately, the answer is that they absolutely are. If you get a virus, you could actually lose your money, your identity and your computer’s hard drive. With new viruses being developed constantly, the problem continues to grow. While many viruses are more annoying than destructive, even a “harmless” virus can use up valuable resources. The worst viruses can spread worldwide in a few days and wreak unbelievable havoc. The damage from one infamous virus can mean billions of dollars in lost business opportunities and damaged equipment.

With all of this bad news, is there any good news for computer users? Take this quick risk quiz:

1. Does your computer have antivirus software installed on it?

If you can say yes, you are much less a risk than people that don’t have antivirus software. If you say no, than it is only a matter of time until you find out about viruses personally.

2. Does your computer have a firewall installed on it?

If your response is yes again, you can relax a bit. You’re doing all you can do software wise to keep your computer safe from a deadly virus. If you say no again, you are leaving your computer wide open for an attack.

Despite all of the media attention paid to antivirus software, people still have the “It can’t happen to me.” mentality. They laugh off warnings to protect their computers and say that they are working just fine. They think that because they never actually initiate a file download or send and receive files with friends, they are safe. A few months go by and suddenly they can’t get their computers to boot up forever and then when they finally do start, they plod along at a snail’s pace.

To make things worse, quite a few of these computer users who leave their computers unprotected are actually taking classes for computer related careers. They are completely at sea when they have to try to repair the damage caused by a virus filled computer. Perhaps a basic class on computer care and repair is in order!

You are probably wondering how viruses develop anyway. Hackers are the people creating these nasty bugs, right? Actually, while some hackers may decide to create computer viruses, most of them spend all of their waking hours attempting to break in to the most secure and top secret systems they can find. People who write viruses are people with an ax to grind. They want to send a wake up message or show people that they are superior to them. Today, many people are concerned that computer viruses could be used as a terrorist weapon.

If you do get a computer virus, will you lose everything on your hard drive? It actually is rare for this type of virus to spread very fast or far. Annoying viruses that stop you from starting your computer or using windows or those that mail spoof emails to your entire email address book are much more common. The hard drive is usually recoverable when the computer has one of these viruses.

What about your financial and personal information? Are viruses really likely to swipe them from the computer. Absolutely. This is a common reason that viruses are created and spread.

Is there any way to keep your computer virus free? While no anti-virus software is foolproof, installing one of these programs can provide some protection. While there are anti-virus software programs that provide better protection, any of them will help somewhat. Even free anti-virus programs are actually able to ward off at least some viruses.

After reading this information on viruses and anti-virus software, you have probably resolved to get protection for your computer right away. If so, you won’t be sorry. Dealing with viruses after you are infected is frustrating and time consuming. It is so much easier to keep a disaster from happening instead of trying to reconstruct a ton of missing data and worry about identity or financial thefts after the fact.

The Gratitude Attitude

Thursday, July 24th, 2008
Eric Garner asked:

Gratitude stops you taking your life for granted and helps you realize how many good things you have in your life.

Gratitude makes others feel better.

Gratitude makes you feel better. In the words of an Arabian proverb, “The hand that gives the roses always keeps some of the scent.”

Gratitude raises your awareness of things around you.

Gratitude is easy, quick, and simple.

Gratitude is an instant blues-breaker and stress-reliever.

Gratitude changes your view of so-called “bad” things.

Gratitude frees you from petty annoyances.

Gratitude inspires you.

Gratitude puts your thoughts and feelings on a high vibration level that in turn attracts back to you more things to be grateful for.

Gratitude nourishes the soul.

Gratitude is like compound interest on money in the bank: the more you put in, the more you get out.

Gratitude is a spiritual act because it acknowledges that the origin of all good things is a source outside ourselves.

Gratitude puts you on a direct line to God.

That’s the “what” of gratitude. To show you the “how”, here are three things you can do to make the Gratitude Attitude a firm fixture in your life.

1. Create a Thank Bank. A Thank Bank is simply a place where you can jot down all the things that you are grateful for in your life. You can split the bank into different accounts such as Family, Surroundings and Work, and then simply start writing out your thanks until you stop. Put your list somewhere safe and pull it out when you’re feeling down and you’ll instantly change your mood.

2. Show Gratitude Quietly. Don’t turn gratitude into a promotional or motivational tool. Too much thanks is as ineffective as too little. Instead, express your thanks in quiet ways: a thought, a prayer, a one-on-one word, a note of appreciation. Give people gifts of thanks that aren’t bought at shops: a bit of your time, a sacrifice, something valuable to you. Remember the story in the Bible of the widow, who gave a small money gift in thanks even though it was worth everything to her.

3. Always Replace the 3 C’s With the 3 A’s. If you work or manage others, and sometimes feel the need to use one of the 3 C’s – complaining, condemning, and criticizing – replace them with the 3 A’s of Accepting, Acknowledging, and Appreciating. Accept people for who they are; acknowledge them for what they do; and appreciate them for just being around. Remember that when you appreciate others, your reputation and respect appreciates too.

There’s nothing complicated about gratitude. It’s something we can all do. We so often don’t do it because we forget, because we focus on the few so-called bad things in our lives, and because we take the wonderful things for granted. So change your life. Put gratitude just below your level of consciousness, and every day will become one of joy and delight.

Free Romance Compatibility Quiz - 8 Questions

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008
Susan Willis asked:

These days, there are a lot of great ways to meet new people for a romantic encounter or to start a relationship; online dating sites, Internet chat rooms and speed dating events have been added to the more traditional ways of meeting a potential mate such as bars, vacations, work and through introductions from friends.

However, meeting someone new is just half the battle. Doing a little homework now could mean the difference between romantic bliss and getting stuck with the relationship equivalent of a lemon.

Here are 8 questions to ask yourself:

Question 1: Do you excite each other physically? It is important that you feel physically attracted to one another. Reason: some people who are feeling desperate to find a mate might resort getting serious with someone who seems to be a “great person” but for whom they lack any attraction. Big mistake!

Question 2: Is it easy to keep a conversation going? After a couple of years have passed, most couples report a cooling off in their sex life. It is at this point that it becomes particularly important that you actually find each other interesting to be around, not just nice looking or good in bed.

Question 3: Do you have similar standards of hygiene and cleanliness? Maybe your mate looks well-groomed in public, while their workplace or home remains a perpetual pigsty. If this is so and you are someone who prefers things to be spot-free, you could be heading for trouble.

Question 4: Are you accepting of each other’s religious beliefs? As the world gets smaller, people are increasingly marrying outside of their faith. While it is not important that you agree on all things religious, it is important that both of you are accepting of any differences of belief you have.

Question 5: Do you feel comfortable around each other’s families and friends? When you get into a serious relationship with another person, you have little choice but to link into their family and friend network. When you do, stay in tune with how you feel when around them.

Question 6: Are you on the same page financially? Money can be one of the biggest sources of anxiety for people in relationships. Some people tend to be savers, while others tend to spend. Neither way is inherently wrong, but it is helpful if the two of you manage money in a similar way.

Question 7: Do you hold similar views about the importance of having children? If the female member of your relationship is still of a child-bearing age, you owe it to yourselves to have a talk about how each of you feels about having kids; you want to avoid finding yourself at an impasse on this issue down the road.

Question 8: Are you able to accept the other person’s political views? Some couples are able to peacefully ignore any political differences between them: after all, do any two people on the planet see exactly eye to eye on all things political? Be cautious, however, if you are not accepting of each other’s views.

Okay, go ahead and tally up your “yes” answers and check the chart below to see how you did.

8 Yeses: Stop what you are doing and book a trip to Vegas right now!

6-7 Yeses: You have a very good thing going on here. Be sure to keep your eyes open for any potential deal-breakers and, meanwhile, have fun with it!

3-5 Yeses: Proceed with caution. Sure, things could work out with this person, but why chance it? Stay open to the possibility that there is someone even more suited to you out there.

0-2 Yeses: Run away while you still can and do not look back.

Is it wise to trust the future of your love life to a quiz you found online? You know better than that. But, before you discount the results, think again. Most people who have been in relationships that have lasted for more than a few months will tell you that there are certain things that just have to be right for the relationship to last.

Penalty Shoot-outs: How to be Sure of Scoring

Friday, July 18th, 2008
Eric Garner asked:

This is a dilemma that men and women have experienced for centuries.

When writing about the pressures of winning an archery contest, the 3rd century BC Taoist writer Chuang-Tzu said that, when we focus on the prize and not the job, we lose the edge to our skill. He said: “An archer shooting for a clay vessel shoots effortlessly, his skill unimpeded. If the prize is changed to an ornament, his hands begin to shake. If it is changed to gold, he squints as if he were going blind. His abilities do not deteriorate, but his belief in them does, as he allows the supposed value of an external reward to cloud his vision.”

Of course, football stars and champion archers aren’t the only ones affected by the prizes of winning.

It’s well-known that the most vulnerable moment in any business negotiation is just before the end, when, perhaps after a long and difficult process, one side sees the prize of an agreement within their reach and relaxes their guard by mentally throwing themselves over the finishing line. As an Indian proverb puts it: “Beware the tiger at the end of the fight.” That’s the moment when, appearing to walk away but sensing his opponent relax, the tiger turns round and makes his strike.

In a negotiation, one of the cleverest ploys that an experienced negotiator can use is the Salami trick. This is when an important concession is refused during the negotiation, but conceded at the end, bit by bit, because the less experienced negotiator relaxes his or her guard. It’s like a salami sausage being given away one slice at a time, until before you know where you are, the whole sausage is gone.

The reason why we fail at the last moment in all these tests is because we become distracted. In short, we lose focus.

When we focus on the task at hand, all our attention is directed on it. We let go of haunting memories from the past and tempting thoughts about the future. We open ourselves to what is happening here and now.

The word “focus” comes directly from the Latin word “focus” meaning a hearth or fire. In pre-electricity days, the fire was in the center of the home. Those lucky enough to have an open fire in their homes today know that moment when on a winter’s evening you can just stare into a roaring log fire or onto the glowing embers and lose yourself in your dreams.

In actual fact, there are two kinds of focus: hard and soft.

Hard focus is the same as concentration or tunnel vision when all you are aware of is what’s in front of you, like a 100-metre athlete looking down his track to the exclusion of everything else.

There are two ways to get into a state of hard focus. One is to be physically still. The other is to remove all the distractions. Once you blot out everything around you, hard focus is what’s left.

Soft focus has a different quality. It’s also known as single-minded immersion, zero-point arousal, and free-flow thinking.

Instead of focusing your thoughts onto your objective in a laser-like way, you expand your awareness in a dream-like way to include your whole environment. You tune in to time and place. You even become aware of yourself in a disassociated way.

A good soft focus exercise is to imagine yourself as a blue feather floating on the wind. There is no destination, no time, no obstacles. You are aware of yourself and enlarge into the sense of freedom and possibilities.

It’s that moment when time stands still and has no more meaning, when hours pass like minutes and minutes like hours.

It’s what Daniel Coleman calls “flow”: a state of forgetfulness, the opposite of rumination and worry. Instead of being lost in nervous pre-occupation, people in flow are so absorbed in the task at hand that they lose all self-consciousness, dropping the small pre-occupations – health, bills, even doing well – of daily life.

And that’s the secret of focus: doing the job for the sake of it, not for what it leads to.

In their book “Thank God It’s Monday”, Charles Cameron and Suzanne Ellusor describe seeing a Zen monk sweeping snow from the steps of a temple in the middle of a snowstorm. The more it snowed, the more he swept. The monk did not expect to clear the steps of snow or beat the storm. He didn’t expect anything. The simplicity of his actions was enough to make it worth doing, process rather than end result, being rather than completion.

This is what they call “zenning” and it’s at the heart of all success.

There are really only two ways you can fail in any venture. One is to give up. The other is to try too hard. If you’re at the last hurdle, the final straight, or about to take the final shot in a tied game, you simply have to learn to slow down, let go and trust in yourself. That’s when you’ll discover all the energies opening up to you and success will surely be yours.

How to Use Social Widgets for Internet Marketing

Saturday, July 12th, 2008
Gen Wright asked:

t’s spend a little time discussing what exactly is a widget. A widget is a mini web application where webmasters can add to their websites. This is usually done by copying and pasting some simple HTML or Javascript code on to the existing web pages. The term social widget refers to widgets that are meant specifically for social websites. Social websites like MySpace.com or Facebook.com allow their members to customize their profile pages. That means the members can add any social widgets to their profile page.

There are many types of different social widgets. They range from puzzles, simple games, fancy clocks, to useful tools such as calendars, password generators and so on. So depending on how you want your social web pages to look, you are free to choose any social widget that is available for download. Usually, social widgets are freely available at no cost. And why is that? If you are an Internet marketer, perhaps you already know the reasons.

Social widgets are developed for others to use on their websites or web pages. As these web pages become more and more popular, especially on social websites where there is a general tendency for members to add new friends, the widget will spread virally. This allows the Internet marketer to get free exposure at no cost. It is not uncommon to see widgets that link back to the developer’s website. A popular social widget can potentially be downloaded and used by millions on web users. So imagine the amount of free traffic that the developer will receive!

But that can only happen if a social widget is extremely popular, and online visitors are willing to spread the word. How can that be achieved? For a start, new widgets should be promoted as much as possible to gain traction. For example, a developer can list a new widget in widget directories. These directories function very much like a search engine, and allows users to search for the widgets that they want. The more places that the widget is listed in, the better the chance of someone downloading the widget, and actually installs and uses it.

In addition, the widget must also be setup to spread itself virally. Let’s say you downloaded a quiz widget that allows you to quiz your friends. When your friends receive your quiz requests, they in turn must download the widget before they can see the quiz. If they like the widget, they will continue to spread the widget to their own network of friends. This is, in essence, how widgets can spread virally.

So if you are into Internet marketing, you probably realize by now how powerful social widgets can be. With millions and millions of members on social networking sites, the potential is huge. A wildly successful widget can easily bring in thousands of targeted visitors a day. How you monetize the traffic, is completely up to you. After all, the traffic will keep coming without you having to spend a single dime.
